What distinguishes an orthomosaic aerial view from a standard aerial photograph?
An orthomosaic is a highly accurate, georeferenced image created by stitching together multiple overlapping aerial photographs captured with the camera oriented directly downward (nadir). Unlike a single aerial photo, an orthomosaic eliminates perspective distortion and ensures uniform scale across the entire image, making it possible to view and measure features accurately, regardless of the size of the area being surveyed.
